Small businessesAgency Name: USDOJ-OJP-OJJDP Closing Date: Jul 29, 2013 Award Ceiling: $750,000 Expected Number of Awards: 5 Creation Date: Jun 14, 2013 Funding Opportunity Description: This solicitation will support an organization that will (1) assist the Attorney Generals Task Force on American Indian/Alaska Native Children Exposed to Violence (AI/AN Task Force) to conduct public hearings and listening sessions in American Indian/Alaska Native (AI/AN) communities to help the AI/AN Task Force gain a fuller understanding of the issues surrounding AI/AN childrens exposure to violence, (2) provide primary technical writing services for the final report from which the AI/AN Task Force may draw specific policy recommendations, and (3) provide all necessary support for the AI/AN Task Force and the public hearings. The Office of Juvenile Justice and Delinquency Prevention (OJJDP) in partnership with the Department of the Interior (DOI), Indian Affairs will administer this project of DOJs Defending Childhood Initiative. This project will require close coordination between the award recipient and Departments of Justice and Interior staff, in particular the designated federal official (DFO) from the Department of Justice, to ensure that all deadlines and deliverables are met. Note: Exposure to violence includes being a victim of violence or a witness to violence and encompasses sexual abuse, physical abuse, intimate partner violence, school violence, and community violence. This program is authorized by the Department of Justice Appropriations Act, 2013, (Pub. L. No. 113-6).

Small businessesAgency Name: USDOJ-OJP-OJJDP Closing Date: Jul 25, 2013 Award Ceiling: $500,000 Expected Number of Awards: 3 Creation Date: Jun 14, 2013 Funding Opportunity Description: This program will fund agencies that utilize a comprehensive, multidisciplinary approach to provide intervention and supervision services for youth with sexual behavior problems and treatment services for their child victims and families. Award recipients will target for services only pre- or post-adjudicated youth who are charged with an offense involving inappropriate sexual behavior with a child and who have no prior history of court involvement for sexual misconduct. Award recipients will also provide services to victims and families. Youth participating in this program must undergo a mental health evaluation to determine if they are amenable to community-based treatment and intervention.This program solicitation has two parts. Category 1 (sites) will provide funding to as many as two sites for the purposes described above. Category 2 (support, technical assistance, and evaluation) will fund one awardee to provide support and technical assistance to the sites selected under Category 1 and conduct a process/implementation evaluation to document how the sites develop comprehensive, multidisciplinary approaches and intervention models to effectively respond to youth with problem sexual behaviors and their child victims.This program is a collaboration between OJJDP and the Office of Sex Offender Sentencing, Monitoring, Apprehending, Registering, and Tracking (SMART) and is authorized by Pub. L. No. 113-6, 127 Stat. 198, 256.Category 1 applicants are elgible for up to $300,00 in funding for a period of 24 months.Cateogry 2 applicants are eligible for up to $500,000 in funding for a period of 24 months.
