Funding opportunity for Seattle artists
Seattle-based artists working in dance, music and theater (including playwriting) may apply for set award amounts of $4,000, $6,000 and $8,000 to fund projects in 2013. CityArtist Projects is an annual funding program that supports individual Seattle artists in the development and presentation of new, in-progress or remounted works taken to the next level.
Priority will be given to quality art projects that focus on public access. Applications will be scored on their ability to address at least one of these elements: provide opportunities for audience engagement; offer physical, economic, geographic or cultural access; diversify the arts and cultural activities available to Seattle residents and visitors; encourage partnerships and creative collaborations in the community; and/or create meaningful arts experiences that reflect and are relevant to Seattle’s diverse population.
