Budget Module
What is the Budget Module?
The Budget module supports creation of accurate and detailed budgets for grants and contracts by auto-populating data from payroll and financial systems, assisting users in selecting proper rates, and calculating totals automatically.
Budget Module Phase 1 supports creation of detailed budgets according to UW object code accounting, and provides for easy import and attachment to an associated eGC1.
Future phases of the Budget Module will support creation of sub-contract budgets, fabrication budgets, and sub-budgets, output to the 424 R&R budget form to support submissions to Grants.gov, improved integration to the eGC1, and integration to award and account setup processes in OSP and GCA.
The comprehensive and flexible process minimizes errors, improves data quality, provides a consistent output which will streamline the review process and eventually increase the accuracy of post award budget set up.
