Private Funders
Foundations, corporations, and other private organizations can be an important part of your overall funding strategy. Each year, private organizations invest millions of dollars in UW faculty and students, basic and translational research, innovation, program support, and service across all areas of the University. Investments can be philanthropic in nature (gifts) or directed to support a focused project with specific outcomes (grants).
For Health Science Researchers
If you are a health science researcher at the UW, the Institute of Translational Health Sciences (ITHS) offers pilot funding for translational and clinical research. For information on ITHS funding opportunities, go to https://www.iths.org/funding
For All Other Faculty and Researchers
If you are a member of any other school or department at the UW, the University Advancement Team assigned to your school and college is available to help you. The Advancement Team can:
- Provide you with useful background information on potential funders
