Idaho Transportation Dept Research Program

Subject: Idaho Transportation Department Research Program Request for Qualifications and Interest

 

On December 7, The Idaho Transportation Department (ITD) issued a Request for Qualifications and Interest for two new research projects planned for fiscal year 2013.  These projects included:

 

Solicitation #  Project Title

2013-01 Development of Work Zone Positive Protection Guidelines for Idaho

2013-02 Methodology for Prioritizing Appropriate Mitigation Measures to Reduce Big Game Animal-Vehicle Collisions on Idaho Highways

 

A Request for Qualification and Interest is now available of a third

project:

 

Solicitation #  Project Title

2013-03 Light Emitting Diode (LED) Fixtures for Roadway Sign Illumination

 

Proposals will be accepted from researchers at public universities or public agencies who are interested in conducting research in these areas.  The solicitations for all three projects can be found at http://itd.idaho.gov/highways/research/proposals/.  Information about the solicitation process, and the required format and content of proposals is also available on the proposals webpage.

 

Proposals submitted in response to solicitations 2013-01 and 2013-02 must be received by ITD’s Research Program staff no later than 5:00 p.m. MST on

January 18, 2013.   Proposals submitted in response to solicitation 2013-03

are due by 5:00 p.m. MST on February 8, 2013

 

Please forward this request to qualified researchers at your institution who may have an interest in performing research in the requested areas.
