Subject: FY12 OCRP Outcomes Consortium Development Pre-applications due 9 May 2012

The Fiscal Year 2012 (FY12) Defense Appropriations Act provides $16M for the Department of Defense (DOD) office of Congressionally Directed Medical Research Programs (CDMRP) Ovarian Cancer Research Program (OCRP).

Pre-applications for the FY12 OCRP Outcomes Consortium Development Award are due 9 May 2012.  The OCRP Outcomes Consortium Development Award supports a multi-institutional research effort conducted by leading ovarian cancer researchers and consumer advocates that specifically focuses on identifying and understanding predictors of disease outcomes in ovarian cancer patients. This effort will be executed through two separate award mechanisms: this FY12 Outcomes Consortium Development Award, which will enable the consortium to lay the groundwork for the research project, including proof of concept, and the FY14 Outcomes Consortium Award, which will support the execution of the full research project.

A detailed description of this funding opportunity (W81XWH-12-OCRP-OCDA), and its evaluation criteria and submission requirements can be found in the Program Announcement which is available electronically for downloading from the Grants.gov website (http://www07.grants.gov/search/search.do?&mode=VIEW&flag2006=false&oppId=153473), the CDMRP website (http://cdmrp.army.mil/funding/prgdefault.shtml) and the CDMRP eReceipt System (https://cdmrp.org).
