UW TechTransfer and the Gates Foundation
The Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation is partnering with the UW and other research institutions to expedite adoption of promising health-care innovations. "We want no legal obstacles to stand in the way of applying UW innovations to urgent world health concerns," explains Aline Flower, UW TechTransfer's legal affairs manager.

Technology Review magazine recently announced that these three UW researchers were among the world's top 35 innovators under age 35, known as the TR35. The editors selected them from more than 300 nominees in industry and academia because their work is "changing our world." They also named Parikh their 2007 Humanitarian of the Year.
