The Human Subjects Division (HSD) has a specific objective to publicly share reliable "turn-around time" metrics. Researchers have requested this information for some time, but reliable data were not available from HSD’s previous database.

In 2008, HSD implemented a new database - enabling the capture of accurate and detailed data. Reliable and detailed metrics are a fundamental tool that will help HSD to accomplish strategic goals and specific objectives.

HSD will be posting "Key Performance Metrics" on a quarterly basis. Initial postings will include some basic metrics, such as turn-around time for new applications. Over time, additional metrics will be added.
