Purpose

This guidance is intended to assist University of Washington (UW) researchers in conducting Genome-Wide Association Studies (GWAS) under funding from the National Institutes of Health (NIH) on or after January 25, 2008, who propose to submit data, whether mandatory or voluntary, to the NIH GWAS Data Repository, database of Genotypes and Phenotypes (dbGaP) and to UW researchers who desire access to data from the dbGaP regardless of the funding source.
