CITI Web-based Training – UW Affiliation

Proceed to CITI Program Website & Training

To take a course on the CITI website, you must register for an account by creating a user name and password. Your UW NetId and password will not work as log in information on the CITI website.

Human Subjects Learners

UW does not have an institutional requirement that researchers take this training, although it is recommended for those conducting human subjects research. The CITI Web-Based Training meets the requirements of NIH and most other sponsors for training in the Protection of Human Research Subjects.

The Human Subjects Learners training consists of 8 required modules and up to 9 optional modules. Take this training to fulfill either basic or refresher course needs.

Completion Verifcation & Report for CITI

Please retain a copy (printed and/or electronic) of the completion certification provided to you by CITI. This is your documentation and evidence of your training completion to provide to sponsors, upon request.

NIH Web-based Course

Proceed to NIH Course Website & Training

The NIH Web-Based Training meets the NIH requirements for training in the Protection of Human Research Subjects.

There are no options for in-person training in the Protection of Human Research Subjects at this time.
