Create Proposal Package

Once the project and its potential sponsor have been identified, the proposal must be drafted. At minimum, most sponsors will require a work scope, schedule, budget and budget justification, though in the majority of cases additional information will also be required. It is essential that the proposal be written in accordance with the instructions provided by the program announcement or sponsor guidelines.

The final step in the proposal preparation process is the completion and routing of an eGC-1. The eGC-1 is the mechanism for securing the necessary UW approvals for the project being proposed and is completed in the SAGE system, SAGE being an acronym for System to Administer Grants Electronically.
