Grant & Contract Glossary
Grants are monetary amounts awarded to the University typically by State or Federal agencies, philanthropic organizations, or private industry to conduct specific research projects or training programs. Such awards are usually the result of competitive proposals developed by faculty members and are independent of other funds received by the University.
