Food Approval - Explanation of Code Numbers

The food approval code assigned to a budget may be obtained by reviewing the Financial Accounting System (Financial Index Inquiry, screen #5) Budget Number Validation screen (#3). Food approval codes identify the purposes for which food may be purchased and are defined as follows:

  1. Food and non-alcoholic beverages for hosting and entertaining.
  2. Food and non-alcoholic beverages to be provided at conferences and workshops.
  3. Food provided at remote research sites.
  4. Alcoholic beverages for research purposes.
  5. Patient/subject/research related food expenditures.
  6. Alcoholic beverages for hosting and entertaining.
  7. Food and non-alcoholic beverages for hosting and entertaining, food and non-alcoholic beverages to be provided at conferences and workshops.
  8. Food and non-alcoholic beverages for hosting and entertaining, food provided at remote research sites.
  9. Food and non-alcoholic beverages for hosting and entertaining, alcoholic beverages for research purposes.
  10. Food and non-alcoholic beverages for hosting and entertaining, patient/subject/research related food expenditures.
  11. Food and non-alcoholic beverages for hosting and entertaining, alcoholic beverages for hosting and entertaining.
  12. Food and non-alcoholic beverages to be provided at conferences and workshops, food provided at remote research sites.
