Accounting Flags

Accounting Flags are used to edit or monitor financial data or to indicate a special process for budget numbers. The edits or special processes are performed if the flags are turned "on". The following accounting flags are currently in use by Grant and Contract Accounting:

Flag Description

3	The Restricted Fund Accounting Process is to be used for the budget number. An edit is made to ensure that an Indirect Cost Contra Budget Number exist in the 02 Index with the same combination of Local Fund, Local Appropriation and Program/Category Codes as the referenced budget number.
4	The budget number is eligible to earn interest income based on its average cash balance.
5	The budget number is authorized to issue Cost Transfer Invoices (CTI).
17	The Budget Status Reports (AM28215-202 and AM28215-203) for budget numbers are suppressed.
