When the New Accounts section in GCA receives an Notice to Establish
Account (NEA) for a new award, we assign a budget number based on the
Local Program codes listed below, and consecutive available numbers from
0001-9999 for the last four digits of the complete budget number.
New Accounts assigns new budget numbers to awards based on the following
number series:
