We have been invited to nominate candidates for the 2013 Robert A. Welch Award in Chemistry - the deadline is February 1, 2013.
The attached guidelines provide complete information on the nomination procedures. All nominations must Include:
(a) a brief biographical sketch of the proposed nominee
(b) a list of the nominee’s 25 most important publications
(c) a statement of the research areas in chemistry on which the nomination is based, and
(d) not more than three seconding nomination letters
Nominations will remain in force for a three year period but in case you wish to re-nominate an individual you nominated within the past 2 years, advise us by letter that you wish to re-nominate the individual, and send up any new information that you consider pertinent.
Multiple nominations are accepted, and submissions can go directly to the Welch Foundation. There will be no internal UW review.
Investigators who identify a grant, award or fellowship program that restricts the number of applications that can be submitted from an Institution should immediately contact their Chairperson, Associate Dean for Research (or Dean, if no ADR) and the Office of Research (see below) if they intend to prepare a response. Failure to do so, or to meet the deadlines for submission of pre-proposal, will preclude submission of the application through the Office of Sponsored Programs.
For general inquiries, or to request a listing of a limited submission opportunity that should be but is not already listed, please email us at firstname.lastname@example.org.
