Prof. Posner and his student examine a microfluidic device that is used to quantify the transport of mass to the electrode surface.
Energy Research Area: Our research focuses on electrochemical energy storage technology that enables intermittent renewable energy generation such as solar and wind power.
Our research focuses on electrochemical energy storage technology that enables intermittent renewable energy generation such as solar and wind power. Many green energy solutions rely on the sun, waves, or wind are discontinuous and require energy to be stored for use when power cannot be generated. We are developing novel nanostructured electrodes that enhance the transport behaviors in storage technologies such as batteries and ultracapacitors.
