My research includes the geology of uranium deposits and societal issues involving the production of fossil fuels. Contrary to popular belief, as epitomized by the concept of Hubberts’Peak (or “ peak oil”), barring political or military disasters, production of fossil fuels will not decline appreciably in coming decades. Science, technology, and economics will continue to maintain production, which is to say, that where geological resources are really found is in the minds of humans.
