No, You should use the F&A rate that applies to the first year until the end of that year. For example: a 5 years on-campus proposal beginning 9/1/06 through 8/31/2011, the F&A rate for the first year from 9/1/06 through 8/31/07 should be 55.5%, and the F&A rate for year 2 to year 5 from 9/1/07 through 8/31/2011 should be 56%.
No. Please use the old (originally approved) F&A rate on the non-competing renewal proposal until the end of the competing segment.
No. If the award was accepted before July 1, 2005 and the budget has been established, the UW will continue to honor the old (approved and accepted) F&A rate until the end of the competing segment.
The Federal policy indicates that the award will be made at the currently effective F&A rates.
Yes. Please use the new rates on proposals to Industry Sponsors and Federal flow through funds. F&A rate for clinical trial with Pharmaceutical Company remains at 25% TDC.
For new and competing renewal proposals, OSP will expect the new F&A rates to be included in the awards. For non-competing renewal proposals, the old F&A rate should be used throughout the life of the agreement, i.e. the end of the competing segment.
