Mission

The University of Washington Obstetric-fetal Pharmacology Research Unit is part of a network of sites studying medications in pregnancy. Our goal is to understand how the body handles and responds to drugs during pregnancy.

Medications that may be useful to women during pregnancy are not always well understood. We hope to improve care for pregnant women, their fetuses, and nursing infants.
