SAGE 101: Creating and Submitting eGC1s
Audience: All
Prerequisite: All participants must have a UWNetid.
This course aims to provide an introduction to the Grants Process at the UW, and a safe environment for participants to create their first eGC1. Participants will have an opportunity to create an eGC1, attach documents to an eGC1, and submit an eGC1 for review and approval.

SAGE 102: Grant Runner
Audience: Anyone with access to Grant Runner
Prerequisite: SAGE 101 or equivalent experience
Grant Runner streamlines the Grants.gov application process by combining the SF424 (R&R) form package with the UW's internal electronic Grants and Contracts form (eGC1). This class introduces experienced SAGE users to Grant Runner and the business process around it. Currently being piloted to a limited audience, Grant Runner supports NIH R01, R03, and R21 applications.

SAGE Budget
Audience: Budget Preparers
Prerequisite: SAGE 101 or equivalent experience with eGC1's. How to Prepare a Basic Budget offered by the Office of Sponsored Programs is also highly recommended.
This course provides an overview of how to use SAGE Budget to create a grant or contract proposal budget. A combination of lecture, guided practice, and open workshop time are used to provide participants with experience establishing budget properties, adding object-code line items, creating sub-budgets, and linking the budget to an eGC1.
Participants are encouraged to bring current and past examples of budgets for use during open workshop time.

SPAERC: Read-Only
This class provides a foundation for those with SPAERC read-only access, covering topics including how to log in, navigate, search and find data.
Audience: University of Washington Central office staff
Pre-requisite: SPAERC Read-Only access has been granted by OSP. Access must be requested and in place prior to class attendance. To request access, an email indicating central office, position and business need should be sent to osptech@u.washington.
