Submitting Information and/or Action Items for Consideration by the Board of Regents
Members of the Board of Regents meet monthly to be advised of important matters related to the University of Washington and to take formal action on others. The Board of Regents currently functions with two standing committees: Finance, Audit and Facilities, chaired by Regent Orin Smith, and Academic and Student Affairs Committee, chaired by Regent Joanne Harrell. Information on the governance of Board Committees is located in the Board By-Laws (click here to view the by-laws and scroll to section 3).
Agendas are developed three to four weeks in advance of a meeting. For items to be considered by the Academic and Student Affairs Committee, please contact the Office of the Provost, and for items to be considered by the Finance, Audit and Facilities Committee, please contact the Office of the Senior Vice President. It is the responsibility of the Office of the Provost and the Senior Vice President to meet the deadlines established by the Office of the Board of Regents (see below).
