Constance L. Proctor is an attorney for Vandeberg Johnson & Gandara’s Real Estate and Banking Groups. Prior to joining Vandeberg Johnson & Gandara, Ms. Proctor was a shareholder at Karr Tuttle Campbell from 2003 to 2006. She served as president of Magnus Investments LLC from 2000 to 2002. She was a partner at Alston, Courtnage, Proctor and Bassetti LLP for 16 years. Before joining that firm, she was an attorney-shareholder at Shidler McBroom Gates & Lucas for eight years. Regent Proctor is a member of the Washington State Bar Association, District Court for Washington, American Bar Association, and the National Bar Association.

Aside from serving on the UW Board of Regents, Ms. Proctor is a frequent lecturer in real estate-related matters. She is a Life Fellow of the American Bar Foundation and was named Fellow of the World Affairs Council in 1986. She is a member of the Leadership Tomorrow Class of 1986. She has served two terms as a member of the Board of Directors of the Seattle Branch of the Federal Reserve Bank of San Francisco. She currently serves on the Alford Group Board of Directors, the Association of Governing Boards of Colleges and Universities and the Board of Catholic Relief Services.
Ms. Proctor was the 1991 recipient of the Natalie Skeels Memorial Award and a 1995 recipient of the Nordstrom Community Service Award. Ms. Proctor was named Outstanding Lawyer of the Year in 1994 by the King County Bar Association and received the Award of Excellence from the Loren Miller Bar Association in 1997. The University of Washington School of Law honored Ms. Proctor as a Distinguished Alumna in 1998 and she has also received the Samuel B. McKinney Award and the Odegaard Award from the University of Washington. She is listed in Best Lawyers in America.

Ms. Proctor has also served on the Washington State Governor's Task Force on Juvenile Justice, the Seattle Mayor's Task Force on the Symphony Hall, King County Executive's Select Committee on Regional Finance and Services, the King County Forum for Regulatory Balance, and the Washington State Commission on Justice, Efficiency and Accountability.
