Dean of the School of Law

Dear Colleagues and Friends of the UW School of Law,

This is to give you an update on the search for the Dean of the UW School of Law.

Our search over the past several months yielded a number of promising candidates but ultimately proved unsuccessful in recruiting a new dean. President Emmert and I are consulting with the Law School community on where we go from here, including continuing interim leadership for the school and how to proceed in this important search for a new dean.

I want to take this opportunity to thank everyone who has worked with such passion and energy on this search. Special thanks, of course, go to the Advisory Search Committee, co-chaired by Dean Sandra Archibald and Professor Michael McCann. We intend to redouble our efforts to recruit excellent leadership for our outstanding school of law.
