Collaborative Project Produces Online Grade Book, Other New Tools for UW Teachers (April 2009)
A series of technological advances developed collaboratively by OIM and its UW partners is leading to dramatic improvements in online course management tools available to faculty, including an online grade book and photos of their students.

Kuali Student is a next-generation student administrative system being developed by a consortium of leading universities, including the University of Washington. The Office of Information Management was created by the Provost and the Vice President for UW Technology in November 2006 to direct information management and information systems throughout the University of Washington.
The Office of Information Management (OIM) is headed by Vice Provost for Information Management and Chief Information Officer (VP-IM/CIO) Sara Gomez. The VP-IM/CIO provides university-wide leadership in the development and management of information systems and applications. The VP-IM/CIO reports to the Provost.
