Interim U-TAC is now responsible for all areas of information technology (IT) governance formerly covered by the committee(s) listed below.

The University Technology Advisory Committee (U-TAC) is a university-wide steering committee and advisory body that meets quarterly to provide advice and policy guidance on information technology directions, strategies, plans, and priorities vital to sustaining cost-effectiveness, excellence, and competitiveness in the UW's teaching, learning, research, clinical, and outreach missions and programs.

U-TAC:

Is chaired by Dr. Phyllis M. Wise, Provost and Executive Vice President
Has purview over UW information technology strategies and policies at all levels across the University
Considers overall UW technology infrastructure and the interrelated realms of academic, clinical, digital library, and administrative computing, networking, and information management
Advises the President, Provost and Executive Vice President, Senior Vice President for Finance and Facilities, and Vice President for UW Technology
Refers issues to A-TAC and I-MAC for advice and input
Appoints task forces and subcommittees as necessary
Considers and prioritizes recommendations from A-TAC and I-MAC
