Better Leaders for a Better Workplace
Good leaders make everyone's job more satisfying. The University offers several programs and opportunities to help develop great leadership on campus.
Strategic Leadership Program Level 1
All supervisors at the UW must participate in the Strategic Leadership Program (SLP) Level 1. This mandatory program, designed and delivered by UW Professional and Organizational Development (POD), is integral to the success of every supervisor at the University. There’s no cost to you or your department. Redesigned in 2007 to incorporate the principles of LCVI and the UW Vision & Values, SLP Level 1 continues to get rave reviews.
Strategic Leadership Program Level 2
To extend the learning of SLP Level 1, POD will launch SLP Level 2 in winter quarter of 2008. SLP Level 2 will provide SLP graduates and more seasoned leaders an opportunity to develop new perspectives and skills.
Leadership Seminar Series
During the autumn, winter and spring quarters, leaders at all levels from across the university gather for a timely, relevant program targeted at building leadership..
