Ed Taylor, Vice Provost and Dean of Undergraduate Academic Affairs, talks about his experience as a new dean.
Participating in the Dean's On-Boarding process was a great way to prepare for the wide variety of responsibilities and expectations of leaders at the UW. In my role in Undergraduate Academic Affairs, I am called upon to represent undergraduate students and their issues across campus.
Having been a faculty member, I knew some of the administrative leaders that I met throughout this process, however, the in-depth information about their offices, and how things work at the Dean's level of the University is invaluable.
