RECOGNITION
Recognition Adding to the UW Experience
Brian Ho, Parking Enforcement Manager with University Police, discusses the importance of recognition and adding to the University experience.
I came to the University of Washington Police Department over four years ago. I had worked with several organizations that valued recognition as an affirmation of the individual effort as well as the group’s contribution. I found a similar culture here, too. At the UW I experienced the Strategic Leadership Program and learned of programs like WorkLife and LCVI. When I learned there was an opportunity to serve on the LCVI Recognition Committee, I saw it as a chance to add to the University experience.
As LCVI moves forward I’ve been asked by my department to apply what I’ve learned from the LCVI Recognition Workshops and LCVI Recognition committee discussions towards generating ideas to enhance recognition activities in my organization
