Afternoon of Musical Elegance University of Washington School of Music faculty and students performed in an unusual venue on Nov. 6, 2005 – Hill-Crest, the home of President Mark Emmert and his wife DeLaine. The "Afternoon of Musical Elegance," attended by donors and community leaders, raised money for the school’s "Catch a Rising Star" scholarship endowment. "This was a peak experience in the life of the school," said Robin McCabe, director of the School of Music. "We were honored to be able to showcase our faculty and students in this significant setting, and we appreciate the Emmerts’ generosity in opening their home to us." |
