Pine: Available ports

The three-letter code shown in the table below is used to specify which platform to compile Pine for, as explained in the section Building the Pine Programs in the Technical Notes. Please note: these codes are not parts of filenames, but arguments to the build command used to compile the Pine source code.

    Linux
	(On some platforms the vsnprintf implementation is apparently not
	 correct, and pine will crash early on with a SegFault. The only
	 place where pine uses vsnprintf is in the debugjournal() routine
	 in .../pine/osdep/debuging.tim. You can exclude this by compiling
	 without DEBUGJOURNAL defined. Try a build command like
	   ./build DEBUG="-g -DDEBUG" lnp
	 to work around this problem. August, 2003)
	lnx	Linux using crypt from the C library

		  SSLINCLUDE=/usr/include, SSLLIB=/usr/lib
	lrh	RedHat Enterprise and RedHat 7.2 or later.
