Huskies by the Bay: A Regional Recap

IMG_0105.JPGHuskies by the Bay: A Regional Recap

Husky spirit reached new heights in the San Francisco Bay Area, October 9-11, when the Purple and Gold arrived in the Golden State! The three-day celebration, known as Huskies by the Bay, featured various activities, including an admissions event for prospective students and their families, a reception for Bay Area UW alumni and the Washington Warm Up at Cal, the official pre-game tailgate for Washington Huskies.

The Bay Area is home to one of the largest and fastest-growing UW alumni communities. Nearly 650 spirited Huskies attended the Washington Warm Up on Saturday, October 11, helping to boost the Purple and Gold pride at Cal’s Memorial Stadium. Alumni and friends cheered on the Huskies to a defeat over the Cal Golden Bears during their homecoming weekend!

Parent and Family Programs (PFP) was thrilled to join in these regional festivities, as they provided a great way to engage with a range of California-based families – from prospective to current to proud alumni families. As we continue to grow the reach of our Husky community, PFP looks forward to participating in future regional events and the opportunity to connect with even more UW parents and families.
