The Commuter Commons is here to help! If your student is commuting to campus, the Commuter Commons provides a dedicated space and a variety of services for commuting students. They also arrange events throughout the year to build a strong community among students who live off campus.
At Commuter Commons, students have access to study and social areas, a kitchenette (with fridge and microwave!), day-use lockers, a changing room, peer advising, CLUE tutoring and a printing station.
Top four things your student can do while commuting to campus:
- Sleep – catch up on those REMs they may have missed while studying
- Study – review class notes before the big midterm
- Make new friends – find other students who commute to campus
- Check the Commuter Commons website (http://depts.washington.edu/hub141/) for upcoming events
If you have any questions about your student’s transition, or if they need commuting help, please feel free to contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org or visit our website for resources: http://fyp.washington.edu/cc.
