OMA&D Classics Rome Academic Enrichment Program

The culture and government of ancient Rome heavily influenced the evolution of modern western culture. Understanding this history provides a greater insight into the present. This program examines how antiquity is reflected in current culture with issues of imperialism, slavery, immigration and trade.
Participating in study abroad programs help encourage global thinking and the creation of a global community. Rome was the first culture whose influence stretched far enough to have a near global impact, so studying how Romans handled issues of diversity and multiculturalism is particularly relevant to society today.
The dates of the 2020 program are TBD.
