OMA&D recently welcomed four new members to the Friends of the Educational Opportunity Program (FEOP) Board of Trustees.
Those members include Dion Asberry (Group Health Cooperative), Stephanie Jones (Casey Family Programs), Joe Veliz (South Sound Financial), and Tanhya Plair (Starbucks).
New officers were also elected as terms for both President Carol Bailey and Vice President Norma Zavala ended at the conclusion of the 2010-2011 academic year. Bree Kame’enui-Ramirez was elected board president and Mylene Barizo was elected vice president.
FEOP meets monthly to assist the vice president for minority affairs and vice provost for diversity with scholarships and program fundraising, provide her with advice on diversity initiatives and program issues, and serve as an information pipeline between the community and the Office of Minority Affairs and Diversity.
