During my senior year at the UW, I studied at the University of Arizona for a semester through National Student Exchange. I was hired as an intern at UBS Wealth Management in Tucson where I was trained in the technical analysis of stocks and equities, learned many interesting trading strategies, and studied various buy and sell indicators using Dorsey Wright and Associates’ “Point and Figure” charting. It was through this unique experience as an intern that I knew I wanted to work in the financial services field. After graduating from UW in 2005 with a degree in economics, I began working at Morgan Stanley in Seattle. During my first two years there I became fully licensed as an Investment Advisor (Series 7, 66, 31, and Insurance). This year, I have transitioned to a local investment firm called Freestone Capital Management where I am a licensed Wealth Management Associate. I work with a team that manages over $500 million in assets.
