OMA&D’s Ethnic Cultural Center Hosts Masquerade Event December 3

Members of the University of Washington community are invited to attend the Ethnic Cultural Center’s ECC Masquerade on Friday, December 3, at 6:30 p.m. The event will commemorate 39 years at the ECC before the building is demolished and renovations begin for a new facility in January.

Students, community leaders, alumni, faculty and staff will celebrate with an evening of music, light refreshments, food and the opportunity to reconnect with generations of the ECC family. Attire is semi–formal, and guests are encouraged to wear masks to coincide with the masquerade theme.

RSVP deadline is Friday, November 26. For questions or more information, email ecc@uw.edu. The ECC is located at 3931 Brooklyn Avenue.

The Ethnic Cultural Center provides a learning environment where students and student organizations collaborate, develop and implement programs while building leadership and organizational skills. The planned renovation will expand the current 10,000–square foot building to over 25,000 square feet. Construction is anticipated to last 14 months. During the renovation, ECC services will be housed in Condon Hall.
