OMA&D and Campus Partners Host Successful Alumni Remix

SEATTLE – Approximately 250 alumni of color and friends of diversity enjoyed an exciting evening of networking and entertainment at the second annual Alumni Remix, held Friday, July 16, at the Rainier Chapter House in Seattle’s Capitol Hill neighborhood. The event was hosted by the UW Office of Minority Affairs and Diversity (OMA&D) and various campus partners.

Attendees had the opportunity to reacquaint themselves with old classmates and build relationships with new friends. Appetizers were catered by Galerias Restaurant and an upstairs dance floor was available with music provided by a DJ from a UW alumni-owned business.

The most recent group of 2010 graduates was honored during welcome remarks provided by Vice President for Minority Affairs and Vice Provost for Diversity Sheila Edwards Lange.

In addition to OMA&D, Alumni Remix sponsors and partners included the Foster School of Business, Information School, School of Law, School of Social Work, College of Education, College of Engineering, Graduate Opportunities & Minority Achievement Program (GO-MAP) and the UW Alumni Association.
