National Tests

The National Tests Program administers large-scale examinations commonly published by major test companies and coordinated nationally. Tests include widely used college admissions or certification tests. Dates are set by the test company and tests are administered simultaneously nation-wide. Several hundred examinees may be tested at the University of Washington at one time.

Test companies often publish bulletins that provide information about test dates, registration procedures, and preparing for the test. Most require pre-registration through the testing company. Some allow late or standby registration with payment of an additional fee. The International English Language Testing System (IELTS) is managed by the OEA Testing Center.
