Make-up/Course Exams

MAKEUP EXAMS ARE AT THE DISCRETION OF THE COURSE INSTRUCTOR - THE TESTING CENTER CANNOT AUTHORIZE A MAKE-UP EXAM.

Make-up/Course exams are designed for University of Washington students who are unable to take exams at the time they are administered in the classroom, and for faculty who require an alternate, secure test site to have exams administered. Faculty permission is required.

Due to equipment restrictions, the Testing Center can no longer administer make-up exams that include a video component. Faculty can download the UW Faculty Exam Form to request a make-up/course exam.

Please note: These are not Distance/Online Exams at UW Educational Outreach - for information about UW Online Learning Exams, please go here.

FEES and CHARGES: Individual Appointments are required.  The testing fee is $5 per exam.

Group Sessions (Faculty Only): The UW Testing Center can assist faculty with administering exams for groups of students. Please contact our office directly at 206-543-1171 or by email to oeatests@uw.edu, if you need this service. The fee is $5 per student which can be paid by the student or by a department budget.

REGISTRATION:
Individual appointments can be made in-person in Schmitz Hall Room 440 or by calling 206-543-1171.  Exams have to arrive in our office at least 48 hours prior to the exam appointment.
