Stardust launch weather
Weather appears cooperative for Stardust launch
It doesn't appear that Saturday's scheduled launch of Stardust, the NASA mission to recover samples from Comet Wild 2 and return them to Earth, will have any problem from the weather.
The cloudy, rainy weather that covered the Cape Canaveral area e
arlier this week has been replaced by generally fair conditions, and the National Weather Service forceast calls for Saturday to be partly cloudy with high temperatures in the mid to upper 70s.
University of Washington astronomy professor Donald B
rownlee is the principal investigator for Stardust.
