Two UW slots open for 2015 Slovenia visit

News and Information

UW faculty, other academic personnel and senior graduate students are being invited to apply for the chance to visit the University of Ljubljana in Slovenia during 2015.

There is financial support for two UW participants staying for two to four weeks. Each is expected to give lectures, interact with Slovenian students and collaborate with Slovenian faculty members in their field of study. The visits must be completed by the end of 2015 and should take place during the spring or fall semesters.

The UW-Ljubljana Exchange Committee will reimburse round-trip airfare up to $1,400, and the University of Ljubljana will provide room and board. UW participants are required to submit a report on the academic outcomes of their visit and describing prospects for continued collaboration.

Applicants should submit a curriculum vitae and cover letter explaining the academic value and proposed outcomes of the visit and identifying Ljubljana faculty with whom they will collaborate.

The application deadline is Dec. 8. Applications and questions may be directed to Michael Biggins (mbiggins@uw.edu), head of the UW-Ljubljana Exchange Committee, which is supported by the UW Office of Global Affairs.
