UW works to keep Styrofoam out of landfills

Marilyn Lauderdale of V&G Styro Recycle and Phong Pham, UW warehouse worker, sort through Styrofoam boxes in the Bryants Annex. Containers like these are used to ship medical supplies to UW Health Sciences where they are collected by Recycling & Solid Waste.

UW Recycling and Solid Waste started a Styrofoam recycling program a year ago that is now being expanded campuswide.
