TechConnect annual conference March 24

Members of the UW community are invited to a free daylong conference for technology professionals at the third-annual UW TechConnect Conference March 24.

Sean Mooney, a professor of biomedical informatics and medical education and UW Medicine chief research information officer, will kick off the day with a keynote presentation starting at 8:30 a.m. Internet2 Senior VP and Chief Innovation Officer Florence Hudson will lead a morning session on future-proofing your career and environment through diversity and inclusion.

Over 35 speakers from across the UW will share their knowledge in 15 sessions about future-proofing the enterprise, learning and research, software and applications, and your career. The conference concludes with a networking event with refreshments and representatives from IT Communities of Practice and popular technical services on hand to answer questions.

This free event, from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. in the Husky Union Building, is presented by UW-IT and the TechConnect Advisory Board. No preregistration needed; check in with a UW Husky card as early as 8 a.m. or anytime throughout the day. Follow along on Twitter at #uwtechconnect.
