Don’t miss DXARTS’ fall concert – a chance to immerse yourself in groundbreaking electroacoustic music. The School of Drama opens two new productions: dark farce “Loot” and improv show “Beginnings: First Breath.” At Meany Hall, enjoy performances by pianist Yulianna Avdeeva and the University Chorale & Chamber Singers, or head over to Brechemin Auditorium to catch the talented Daana Quartet.

The Daana Quartet, winners of the 2015 UW Strings and Piano Chamber Music Competition, perform works by Schubert, Brahms and William Grant Still in the ensemble’s debut School of Music performance. More info.

The School of Drama’s 75th anniversary season continues with Joe Orton’s 1965 dark farce, “Loot.” This hilarious depiction of a world gone mad follows the McLeavy family as its members deal with the death and burial of the family matriarch. More info.

Beginnings: First Breath
7:30 p.m., December 2 -6 | Cabaret Theater
Members of Jet City Improv work with School of Drama undergraduates to create an ever-changing show. This unscripted ensemble piece is newly created for each performance using suggestions from that evening’s audience. More info.

University Chorale & Chamber Singers
7:30 p.m., December 3 | Meany Theater
The School of Music presents the UW’s top auditioned choirs in “The Unbreakable Mirror.” The program explores themes relating to water and fluidity including “Walden Pond” by Dominic Argento and “The Sea,” by Carson Cooman, as well as works by Badings, Whitacre and others. More info.
