UW Bothell launches first Innovation Forum

News and Information

Whats the impact of innovation and creativity on the Pacific Northwests economy and education? The UW Bothell will study the question during the Innovation Forum, Feb. 13 to 16.

The forum is a free public event meant to encourage discourse between the university and the community. Panels, programs and activities will range across disciplines from bioethics to theater.

UW Bothell Chancellor Kenyon Chan will moderate the opening session, examining how organizations promote innovation from within. The closing session, “Reinventing the University,” will be convened by UW President Michael Young and will be a “blue sky” exercise in imagining a new university structure. RSVP for the final session by calling 425-352-5406.

“A goal of University of Washington Bothell is be a place that inspires creativity and innovation on the part of students and faculty, and then connects the resulting ideas and inspirations to the betterment of our community and region,” Chan said. “The communitys participation in this forum will help us chart our direction.”
