Official Notices: Rules for UW housing, waivers of tuition and fees

Public Hearing Notice – ‘Rules for the University of Washington Residence Halls and Family Housing Apartments’

Notice is hereby given that a public hearing will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, January 11, in Room 142 of Gerberding Hall, on the UW Seattle campus. The purpose of the hearing is to allow all interested persons an opportunity to present their views, either orally or in writing, on the proposed amendments to Chapter 478-156 WAC, “Rules for the University of Washington Residence Halls and Family Housing Apartments.”

Amendments to the University of Washingtons rules for student housing are proposed to limit the scope of the rules to the Seattle campus, to update the types of housing now offered to students, and to streamline administrative practices.

Advance copies of the proposed WAC rules may be obtained by contacting Rebecca Goodwin Deardorff, Director of Rules Coordination, Box 351210, Seattle, WA 98195 or by phone at 206-543-9219.  Copies will also be available at the hearing.

Public Hearing Notice – ‘Waivers of Tuition and Fees’

Notice is hereby given that a public hearing will be held at noon on Tuesday, January 17, in Room 142 of Gerberding Hall, on the UW Seattle campus. The purpose of the hearing is to allow all interested persons an opportunity to present their views, either orally or in writing, on the proposed amendments to WAC 478-160-163, “Waivers of Tuition and Fees.”

The amendment of WAC 478-160-163 is intended to modify the conditions under which the University of Washington offers the tuition waiver authorized by RCW 28B.15.558 for university, state, and specific educational employees.
