Dr. Terra Bowles of Doctors Without Borders — a CFD event
The UW Combined Fund Drive, the UWs workplace giving campaign, will host Dr. Terra Bowles, a Seattle physician who will share her experiences as a volunteer for Doctors Without Borders, from noon to 1:15 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 17, in Turner Auditorium, UW Health Sciences. RSVP online for this event.
Also, Jet City Improvs Wing-It Productions is offering student prices for anyone with a Husky card for shows at 8 p.m. Nov. 17, 8 and 10:30 p.m. Nov. 18 and 19 (as well as their 12:30 a.m. show).
When you purchase a ticket at Jet City Improv, you are helping Wing-It Productions — a CFD choice — provide outreach programs and childrens camps.
The CFD also is sponsoring a coin drive through Dec. 2 to benefit PAWS, a CFD choice. Look for coin jars at various locations across campus and give your spare change.
Vice President Mindy Kornbergs recent Shoe Harvest gathered nearly 2,000 pairs of shoes for Redeeming Soles to benefit individuals in need throughout the Puget Sound. Thank you for your donations.
