Lugansky, already a major artist, has been hailed as the “next” in a line of great Russian pianists by his former teacher, the renowned pedagogue, Tatiana Nikolaeva. He has been described as “a pianistic phenomenon of exceptional class” by the Netherlands NRC Handelsblad and as “riveting” and “stand out” by Londons Telegraph.

For his Meany concert, Lugansky will play five pieces by Chopin and four by Liszt.

Tickets are $37 ($20 for students) and may be purchased by phone at 206-543-4880, online, or in person at the UW Arts Ticket Office.
