Faculty, staff to test new U-PASS cards on transit

UW News

UW Commuter Services is reminding current U-PASS holders that starting Monday, June 27, they should test their new, ORCA-powered card on transit while keeping their old card, with the U-PASS sticker, with them.

The U-PASS card works when users hear a beep and see a green light when they tap it on the ORCA card reader.

Commuter Services advises that if the new U-PASS does not allow access for transit services, users should show the driver or fare inspector their U-PASS sticker and contact Commuter Services at 206-221-3701 or email ucommute@uw.edu as soon as possible.

As for parking, beginning June 25, all parking customers who received a new Husky Card must begin using it for parking access.

You can learn all about the new Husky Card at a Housing & Food Services website. And you can learn more about the new U-PASS powered by ORCA at the U-PASS website.
